There are Four options available for students interested in learning more about working with animals for a living:

Vet assisting Program at the Villages Lifelong Learning College

This course is meant towards students looking to further a career in the vet assisting field.  It is targeted towards pet owners, veterinary office employees, and others looking to learn more about the needs of their pets, and what processes it takes to work in the veterinary office field.

Lecture series example:

Zoo management school at the Florida International Teaching Zoo

This course is held at our teaching zoo.  It is aimed at the individual who is interested in a more intense hands-on training session.  Most of our students are looking for a career working with animals in a zoo or related facility.  This course is 9 months long with an optional three month long externship at a partner facility.

Distance Learning & DVD/Streaming Webinar and Lecture Series

This at-home course is a collection of 12 dvds.  Each dvd contains a lecture that coincides with our vet assisting program.  Subject matter on birds and reptiles, mammals, zoonotic diseases, nutrition, and more are covered in this comprehensive series of dvds.
